Minister confirms all BPK recommendations will be followed up
Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has assured that all recommendations from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) will be followed up by the Ministry of Transportation to strengthen governance, accountability, and maintain public trust in financial management.
“Every BPK recommendation must be translated into clear improvement measures so that governance becomes stronger and the same findings do not reappear in subsequent audits,” the Minister said during the handover of the BPK RI Audit Results Report at the Ministry of Transportation office, as confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Transportation has once again obtained an unqualified opinion (WTP) from BPK RI for the 2025 Fiscal Year Financial Statements.
This achievement marks the 13th consecutive WTP opinion maintained by the Ministry since 2013.
According to the Minister, this also affirms the ministry’s commitment to maintaining transparency and accountability in state financial management.
He also expressed appreciation to all Ministry of Transportation staff who have worked hard to maintain the quality of financial management and reporting.
“The WTP opinion shows that the financial statements have been presented fairly in accordance with government regulatory standards,” he said.
The Minister stressed that this achievement carries greater responsibility, namely trust that must be maintained. This trust can be preserved through discipline at every stage of financial management, from planning, budget execution, recording, to reporting.
He also expressed appreciation to BPK RI, which has conducted audits independently, carefully, and professionally, providing an overview of aspects that have gone well as well as areas that still need improvement within the Ministry of Transportation.
Therefore, the Minister requested that all staff within the Ministry of Transportation follow up on every recommendation provided by BPK.
“The audit report we received today must be immediately translated into a concrete work plan,” Dudy emphasised.
The Ministry’s improvement priorities include strengthening the internal oversight system, improving the governance of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), enhancing expenditure and contract management, updating asset and inventory management, and strengthening human resource capacity.
These measures are expected not only to improve the quality of government administration but also to ensure that state budgets are managed appropriately to support the delivery of increasingly better transport services for the public.
As of the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Transportation has followed up on 88.23 percent of BPK RI recommendations in accordance with the recommendations provided, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and accountability.
The Ministry will continue to resolve the remaining recommendations by assigning responsible parties, deadlines, supporting documents, and clear outcome targets.
On the same occasion, the Ministry of Transportation received the BPK RI audit team, which will conduct performance audits and audits with specific objectives in the second half of 2026.
These audits include, among others, support for the energy resilience programme, management of Public Service Agency resources within BPSDMP, seafarer book services, PNBP management in the aviation sector, the construction and utilisation of Patimban Port, and asset management at the Directorate General of Railways.
The Ministry of Transportation is committed to providing full support for the entire audit process by supplying complete, accurate, and timely data and information, as well as building open and cooperative communication with the audit team.
The audit results are expected to serve as constructive input to further strengthen governance in the transport sector while ensuring that government programmes and budgets provide optimal benefits for the public.
“To all Ministry of Transportation personnel, continue to uphold integrity and professionalism in carrying out your duties. Always remember that public trust is built on orderliness and honesty in daily work,” the Minister said.
Also present at the event were Deputy Transport Minister Suntana, Head of BPK RI I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana, and senior officials within the Ministry of Transportation and BPK RI.
