Minister Claims No Immediate Plans for Prabowo's Cabinet Reshuffle
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has confirmed there are no plans for a cabinet reshuffle in the near future. He made the statement to reporters at the Nusantara III Building, Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (10/8/2026). “So, as of today, there are no plans for a reshuffle,” Prasetyo said. However, he noted that if there were any changes in officials, the aim would be to fill currently vacant positions. “For example, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Sudaryono), who has been assigned to overhaul our National Nutrition Agency. Then the Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Silmy Karim), who recently faced a legal case,” he explained. On that occasion, Prasetyo also revealed that he had submitted a presidential letter proposing several names to fill vacant posts. The positions proposed include the definitive Governor of Bank Indonesia, a Senior Deputy Governor, an OJK Commissioner, and ambassadors to friendly nations.
