Minister: BTN Leads Subsidised Mortgage Distribution Until July 2026

Minister of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait stated that PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) is the bank with the highest distribution of subsidised mortgages, or Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP), up to the end of July 2026. “BTN’s subsidised housing financing distribution is the highest,” Maruarar said in a press statement in Jakarta on Wednesday. According to a presentation by the PKP Ministry, as of 29 July 2026, BTN had distributed 55,766 FLPP mortgage units, the highest among the state-owned banks’ association (Himbara). Minister Maruarar Sirait previously conveyed this during the Mass Contract Signing for 62,710 FLPP Sejahtera Mortgages led by President Prabowo Subianto in Batang Regency, Central Java, on Thursday (30/7). On a consolidated basis, BTN and BSN have distributed 84,048 subsidised housing units throughout 2026. BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu stated that the distribution of subsidised mortgages requires support from the entire housing ecosystem, from the government and BP Tapera to banks and developers, to broaden public access to decent housing. Meanwhile, President Prabowo said housing is a basic need for the community. He encouraged the government, banks, and business players to strengthen collaboration so that more people can obtain decent and affordable homes. BP Tapera noted that this figure is the largest since the FLPP mass contract signing programme was first held. BTN was the bank with the highest number of participants in the event, with 30,203 debtors taking part in the contract signing either in person or online from various regions across Indonesia.
