Minister Bahlil to Unveil Indonesia's Strategy to Prevent Energy Crisis

The stability of energy supplies in various countries, including Indonesia, has been threatened by rising geopolitical tensions, particularly the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. These tensions have disrupted energy distribution globally and triggered significant price spikes.

Learning from this, mitigation measures to reduce the impact of geopolitical shocks are crucial. One key approach is strengthening national energy security. By achieving energy self-sufficiency, Indonesia aims to reduce its dependence on oil imports while maintaining national economic stability against the effects of global energy price fluctuations.

Boosting domestic oil and gas production, electrification, and the energy transition play vital roles in saving foreign exchange, improving the trade balance, and creating added value and a multiplier effect for national economic growth.

To explore these mitigation and energy security strategies in depth, CNBC Indonesia is hosting the Energy Forum with the theme “Mitigation Strategies for National Resilience in Response to Global Energy Shocks”.
