Minister Arifah hopes RSU Muslimat NU becomes a women- and child-friendly hospital
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi hopes that the Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) Building at RSU Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in Ponorogo can become a flagship medical service centre that prioritises protection and comfort for women and children. “The inauguration of the Gus Dur Building at RSU Muslimat NU Ponorogo today holds very deep meaning. Gus Dur taught us all the values of humanity, justice, and concern for vulnerable groups. Therefore, this hospital must be a place that brings mercy and compassion to all, especially for women and children,” said Minister PPPA Arifah Fauzi in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday. She stated that maternal and child health is a main pillar in protecting human resources towards Golden Indonesia 2045. “I hope that RSU Muslimat NU Ponorogo can become a women- and child-friendly hospital. Not only providing medical services, but also upholding the principles of protection, empathy, and non-discrimination,” said Arifah Fauzi. According to her, the construction of this building is the result of good cooperation that has been built until now, while also carrying the great name of Gus Dur, who is a national hero. “The spirit to build nationalism, heroism, and the spirit to be able to provide the best services for the community,” said Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
