Mining seminar in Balikpapan
JAKARTA (JP): The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) will hold a mining seminar and exhibition in the East Kalimantan capital of Balikpapan on March 29.
"Balikpapan is a major regional center for the Indonesian resources industry. We know it is sometimes difficult for mining company executives to make the trip to Jakarta so this will be the first of our mobile trade exhibition events in Indonesia," Austrade's specialist mining trade commissioner Jennie Lloyd said in a statement.
Seminar & Showcase of Australian Mining Technologies will be opened by Australian Ambassador John McCarthy. Speakers during the half-day seminar will be drawn from the Australian mining equipment and services industry.
Indonesia is Australia's number one market for resource development projects and mining equipment, technology and service suppliers. (jsk)
