Mining Boss Suspect Hid Lamborghini in Alley, Threw Key into Drain

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has seized a 2022 Lamborghini Huracan linked to a corruption case involving mining business permits (IUP) for PT QSS in West Kalimantan. The suspect, Sudianto alias Aseng, had hidden the luxury vehicle in an alley and discarded its key into a drain. ‘During a search in the West Kalimantan jurisdiction, the investigation team discovered assets belonging to suspect SDT alias Aseng, including several vehicles, one of which was a 2022 Lamborghini Huracan that had been hidden in an alley with its key thrown into a ditch,’ said Anang Supriatna, Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, in a written statement on Friday (3/7/2026). The seizure occurred during a search conducted from 11 to 16 June 2026, as the assets are suspected to be proceeds of crime. Investigators also searched the home of an affiliated party, suspect AP, who serves as a director of PT QSS, where they found a stack of precious metals. ‘Investigators seized 8 gold bars with a total weight of 8 kilograms,’ Anang stated. Other seized assets include a Fortuner VRZ, a Toyota Camry, 46 dump trucks, 10 excavators, 2 bulldozers, 3 Triton operational vehicles, 4 plots of land and buildings in Pontianak, and 2 vacant plots in Pontianak. The case began when PT QSS, a bauxite mining company, was acquired by suspect Sudianto and YA. Although the company held an official permit for a specific area, it conducted mining operations outside its licensed zone. The illegally extracted bauxite was then sold and exported using PT QSS’s official documents, including its IUP-OP, work plan and budget (RKAB), and export approval recommendations. Anang revealed alleged bribery in the processing of these documents, with suspect IA accused of communicating with and providing money to state official HSFD, an analyst at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. A total of five suspects have been named in the case: Sudianto alias Aseng, beneficial owner of PT QSS; YA, commissioner of PT QSS; IA, licensing consultant for PT QSS and director of PT BMU; HSFD, mining analyst at the Directorate of Mineral Enterprise Development; and AP, director of PT QSS.
