Minimum Entry Requirements for Poltek SSN 2026: Which SMA/SMK Majors Are Eligible?
The State Cyber and Crypto Polytechnic (Poltek SSN) has opened admissions for the 2026 civil service school selection. The educational institution under the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) is offering 50 places. According to Announcement Number: PENG.01/PANSPTB/PP.01.01/08/2026, the 50 places are divided into three D-IV study programmes. First, D-IV Cyber Security Engineering with 22 places. Second, D-IV Cryptographic Hardware Engineering with 10 places. Third, D-IV Cryptographic Engineering with 18 places. These figures make Poltek SSN the civil service school with the fewest places this year.
Eligible Majors for Poltek SSN 2026
Not all high school graduates can apply to Poltek SSN. Only certain majors are permitted to take part in the selection. The following are the eligible majors, as stated in Announcement Number: PENG.01/PANSPTB/PP.01.01/08/2026 concerning the Selection of New Cadets for the State Cyber and Crypto Agency’s Poltek SSN in 2026:
SMA/MA Science major for schools that do not implement the Merdeka Curriculum
SMA/MA all majors for schools using the Merdeka Curriculum
SMK Electronics Engineering in the fields of Audio Video Engineering, Industrial Electronics Engineering, Industrial Automation Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering
SMK IT in the Information and Communication Technology field for specialisations in Software Engineering, Computer and Network Engineering, Network and Application Informatics Systems, and Game Development
Minimum Scores for Poltek SSN 2026
Two subjects receive special attention in the Poltek SSN 2026 selection: Mathematics and English. Applicants must meet the minimum score requirements to pass the administrative stage. In section 2 ‘Requirements’, point d, Poltek SSN requires prospective cadets to have a minimum average Mathematics score of 80 in semesters IV and V. The same requirement applies to English. The minimum Mathematics and English scores for Poltek SSN applicants are:
Mathematics semesters IV and V: 80 (theory/knowledge)
English semesters IV and V: 80 (theory/knowledge)
Poltek SSN 2026 Applicant Requirements
Indonesian citizen (WNI).
Minimum age 17 years and not more than 21 years by 31 December 2026.
Physically and mentally healthy.
Not colour blind, either partial or total.
No physical or mental disabilities.
No congenital and/or infectious diseases that interfere. Proven by a doctor’s examination result letter.
Minimum height for men is 160 cm, while women 150 cm. Proven by an examination result letter.
No tattoos or tattoo marks.
No piercings or piercing marks, except for customary body parts (women).
Tattoos/piercings for religious/customary reasons are exempted.
Not married. Proven by a certificate from the village head and willing not to marry.
Never given birth (women) and never had biological children (men).
Never dropped out from Poltek SSN and/or other civil service higher education institutions.
Not currently undergoing service bond with another institution.
Willing to pay the SKD fee conducted by BKN.
Have a BPJS Kesehatan card.
Have a valid Population Identification Number (NIK).
After graduation, willing to be placed throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia and undergo a service bond.
Document Requirements for Poltek SSN 2026
In addition to meeting the general requirements, applicants also need to prepare a number of documents. The list includes:
Latest colour passport photo (last 3 months) with red background: JPG, 200 kb
Scan of original KTP or KK: JPG, 200 kb
Scan of original report card, consisting of profile page, semester IV and V report scores, and a letter of conversion of report scores (if the report uses a letter scale): PDF, 1000 kb
Scan of health examination results from a community health centre stating height and weight: PDF, 500 kb
Scan of health examination results from a doctor stating colour blindness test results: PDF, 500 kb
Scan of personal statement letter as approval of general requirements, stamped Rp 10,000: PDF, 700 kb
