A minibus crashed into a resident’s home in Wakal Village, Kentol Village, Cibal District, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The Daihatsu Sigra with licence plate EB 1696 EE struck a wall and entered the living room of Lajarus Dama’s house. Manggarai Regency Traffic Police Unit head, Iptu Al Fathon Bimo Pratama, stated the incident occurred on Friday, 29 May. He said four people sitting inside the house sustained minor injuries. “Four victims were treated at Cibal health clinic,” said Iptu Al Fathon Bimo Pratama, head of Manggarai Regency Traffic Police Unit, on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Al Fathon explained that the minibus carrying one passenger was driven by Rikardua Harman. The vehicle was travelling at high speed from Ruteng to Reo in Manggarai. Upon entering a bend in Wakal Village, Rikardua lost control of the vehicle. Consequently, the minibus crashed into the resident’s home. “It then entered the property and hit the wall, causing it to collapse and striking four people who were inside the house at the time,” Al Fathon added. Police believe Rikardua failed to exercise caution when navigating a sharp left-hand bend, resulting in the accident. However, Al Fathon confirmed both the driver and passenger survived the incident.
