MIND ID's Ramadan Safari Targets Vulnerable Groups

In Jakarta, MIND ID has distributed aid to children with cancer through a series of Ramadan Safari 1447 AH. The programme targets vulnerable groups in need of ongoing support, including children with critical illnesses. Assistance was provided to children living at Rumah Singgah Lilin Pelita Kasih, a shelter that accompanies more than 85 cancer-affected children and their families from across Indonesia during treatment. The aid includes nutritional supplements, staple food packages, cleaning supplies, and allowances to support the daily needs of families. This assistance is expected to ease the burden during the lengthy therapy process. Corporate Secretary of MIND ID, Pria Utama, said Ramadan is a moment to broaden care for vulnerable groups. “During this meaningful month, we want to ensure our presence is truly felt. These children are not only fighting to recover, but they also teach us about resilience and hope. We hope the assistance can ease the families’ burden,” Pria said in Jakarta, on Wednesday (4 March 2026). In the activity, MIND ID personnel interacted directly with the children and accompanying families. They conducted education sessions, team games, bead-stringing activities, and storytelling to create a warm atmosphere amid treatment. The children and the foundation’s administrators were also introduced to how mined resources are used in everyday products. The education forms part of knowledge-sharing and building closeness with beneficiaries. Pria explained that support for children with cancer is not limited to medical aspects. “Children with cancer require support not only medical but also psychological and social to maintain the spirit of treatment,” he said.
