Jakarta (ANTARA) - MIND ID’s President Director Maroef Sjamsoeddin stated that MIND ID, as the national mining industry holding, recorded revenue of Rp159 trillion throughout 2025, or 4 per cent above target.

“MIND ID recorded revenue of Rp159 trillion, or 4 per cent above target,” Maroef said during a Hearing with Commission XII of the DPR RI in Jakarta on Monday.

Maroef explained that this achievement was realised by MIND ID amid various transitions and challenges faced throughout 2025.

He detailed that MIND ID’s transition began in February 2025, with the entry of Danantara as the manager of MIND ID. In the same month, the government amended regulations on benchmark prices for minerals and coal.

“Then in June, changes in composition and management, followed by operational dynamics in September, including the incident at PT Freeport Indonesia,” Maroef said.

These various challenges and transitions did not hinder MIND ID from maintaining positive performance.

“MIND ID recorded an EBITDA of Rp42 trillion, or 3 per cent above target, and net income of Rp29 trillion, or 13 per cent above target,” Maroef stated.

Maroef conveyed that the management will continue to focus on safety, compliance, and good governance.

He also committed to improving performance trends by focusing on MIND ID group synergies in strategic value-added downstream projects, strengthening risk management, and increasing MIND ID’s contributions to the national economy.

In the Hearing with Commission XII of the DPR RI, which oversees the energy and mineral resources sector (ESDM), Deputy Chairman of Commission XII of the DPR RI Sugeng Suparwoto assessed that MIND ID’s performance indicates a direction of increasingly integrated and value-added mining industry management.

Sugeng added that the downstreaming policy implemented by MIND ID is a strategic step in line with the government’s major agenda to drive national economic growth.

“The downstreaming policy is a strategic step to pursue 2029 economic growth,” he said.

He emphasised that MIND ID plays an important role in managing Indonesia’s mineral resources in an integrated manner from upstream to downstream, while strengthening governance to provide long-term economic value.
