MIND ID Believes Mineral Management Opens Opportunities for Increased State Revenue
The Indonesian mining industry holding company, MIND ID, believes that strengthening the management of national mineral resources still offers opportunities to increase state revenue, while simultaneously expanding the economic benefits of domestic mining.
President Director of MIND ID, Maroef Sjamsoeddin, stated that the potential for increased contribution can be achieved through the strengthening of production, governance, and the integrated management of strategic commodities by state-owned enterprises (BUMN).
“The optimisation of state revenue will be even more effective through the management of natural resources directly through state-owned entities,” Maroef said in an official statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to him, the vast potential of Indonesia’s mineral resources must be accompanied by governance capable of optimising its contribution to the economy and state revenue.
Based on the MIND ID 2025 Sustainability Report, the company’s generated economic value reached Rp185.16 trillion, while the distributed economic value was recorded at Rp180.30 trillion. From these activities, payments to the government reached Rp32.82 trillion, consisting of dividends, taxes, and other obligations.
Maroef believes this achievement demonstrates the significant economic value of the mineral sector that can be returned to the state.
