Millions of Illegal Cigarettes Worth Rp13 Billion Destroyed in Sidoarjo

Officers destroyed evidence of illegal cigarettes by burning them at the Tobacco Products Industrial Centre (SIHT) in Candipari Village, Porong, Sidoarjo, East Java, on Wednesday (24/6/2026). The Sidoarjo Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office (KPPBC) Type Madya Pabean, together with the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), destroyed evidence of illegal cigarettes resulting from enforcement actions in the regions of Sidoarjo, Surabaya, and Mojokerto regency and city. A total of 9,096,760 sticks were destroyed, with an estimated value of Rp13.05 billion and a potential state loss of Rp8.8 billion.
