Milk plant in Boyolali

JAKARTA (JP): PT Pengkalen Tirta Seta Indonesia in cooperation with a Malaysian investor will soon build a milk processing plant in the Central Java city of Boyolali with a total investment of Rp 25.2 billion (US$10.7 million).

"The investment coordinating board has issued a license for the project," the board's Central Java office chairman Soedarsono was quoted as saying by Antara over the weekend.

He did not mention about the plant's total capacity and the name of the Malaysian investor.

But he said that 20 percent of the plant's output would be exported while the rest would be for domestic market.

Soedarsono said the factory would employ 45 Indonesians and six expatriates. (bnt)
