Military Reshuffle: Joint Defence Regional Command III Changes Leadership, Jakarta Military Commander Promoted to Three-Star General

Military Chief General Agus Subiyanto has conducted a rotation and reshuffle of several senior military officers within the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).

In this reshuffle, changes have occurred in the position of Commander of the Joint Defence Regional Command (Pangkogabwilhan) III. Major General Lucky Avianto, who previously served as Commander of Regional Military Command XXIV/Mandala Trikora, has been appointed as the new Pangkogabwilhan III commander.

Lucky replaces Lieutenant General Bambang Trisnohadi, who has been appointed as Chief of the Territorial Staff (Kaster) TNI. The position of Territorial Chief of Staff has re-emerged after being dissolved in 2001.

Major General Suhardi, who previously served as Territorial Assistant to the Military Chief, now holds the position of Deputy Territorial Chief of Staff (Wakaster) TNI due to organisational validation.

Additionally, Jakarta Military Commander (Kodam Jaya) Major General Deddy Suryadi will be promoted to three-star general rank (lieutenant general) as part of organisational validation.

The Head of the TNI Information Centre (Kapuspen), Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, confirmed the reshuffle. He explained that the positional changes within the TNI are routine in the context of officer career development and organisational requirements.

“This step is also taken to ensure that the TNI organisation remains adaptive to dynamic operational challenges. Every decision is made based on considerations to support the execution of the TNI’s primary duties,” stated Aulia.
