JAKARTA - The investigative team from the Deputy Attorney General for Military Criminal Affairs (Jampidmil) of the Attorney General’s Office stated that they will bring dozens of witnesses and experts in the case of alleged criminal corruption in the procurement project for user terminal satellites on the 123° East longitude orbital slot for the period 2012–2021.

“Next, there will be 34 witnesses that we will examine. Eight experts that we will use to convince the Panel of Judges that what was done in this procurement of goods and services was against the law,” said the Director of Prosecution of Jampidmil, Zet Tedung Allo, after the first court session in the trial at the Jakarta Military Court on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

At the time the alleged corruption occurred, Leonardi served as the Head of the Defence Facilities Agency of the Ministry of Defence as well as the Commitment Making Official (PPK).

In addition to those two defendants, another defendant, namely Gabor Kuti as CEO of Navayo International AG based in Hungary, did not attend the trial because he is still listed as a wanted person (DPO).

“He is already a DPO and the trial will still proceed by summoning him properly. If he does not attend, the trial will still be carried out by the panel in this case,” said Zet.
