Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Military Police Unit (Satpom) of Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base arrested four individuals suspected of conducting a transaction involving the controlled drug tramadol in the Halim Perdanakusuma area, Pondok Gede, East Jakarta, on Thursday (8/4). An official Indonesian Air Force press release received in Jakarta on Saturday explained that the arrest stemmed from information received by POM personnel regarding tramadol transaction activities. “Following up on that report, Satpom personnel at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base conducted observations and surveillance at the scene,” said the Head of the Indonesian Air Force Information Service (Kadispenau), First Marshal TNI I Nyoman Suadnyana, when contacted in Jakarta. After monitoring the location, officers discovered four individuals in the midst of a tramadol transaction. The officers immediately arrested the four perpetrators during the transaction. After the arrest, POM officers confiscated several pieces of evidence from the perpetrators. “From the examination results, evidence was secured in the form of 98 tramadol tablets and 55 Eximer tablets,” said I Nyoman. The perpetrators, along with the evidence, were then handed over to the Cipayung Police Station for legal processing. I Nyoman emphasised that this effort represents the Indonesian Air Force’s commitment to participating in the fight against the circulation of illegal drugs.
