Military Deployed to Distribute Fuel in North Sumatra to Prevent Shortages

Following coordination between the North Sumatra Provincial Government, Pertamina, and the Indonesian Military and Police regarding the mass walkout of fuel transport drivers, Indonesian Army personnel from the Bukit Barisan Regional Military Command (Kodam I Bukit Barisan) moved swiftly on Tuesday evening (14/7) to distribute fuel to a number of petrol stations in Medan City and gradually to other areas across North Sumatra. Military personnel were seen operating Pertamina tanker trucks from the Pertamina Belawan Group Installation Terminal to various petrol stations.
