Military Court schedules judgment hearing for bank branch manager murder case on 3 June
The Military Court II-08 Jakarta in East Jakarta has scheduled the judgment hearing for defendants in the case involving the alleged kidnapping and murder of a bank branch manager (MIP, 37) on 3 June 2026.
“We need time until Wednesday, 3 June,” said Chief Judge Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto when questioned in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He explained that the judgment is likely to be delivered in the afternoon, as the Military Court II-08 Jakarta has also scheduled a hearing for the acid attack case against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus in the morning.
“It might also be in the afternoon, as we had planned the plea hearing for the acid attack case on the 3rd. We might hold the Andrie Yunus hearing in the morning, then the judgment in the afternoon on Wednesday, 3 June,” Fredy explained.
The defendants in the bank branch manager murder case include Staff Sergeant Mochamad Nasir, Corporal Feri Herianto, and Staff Sergeant Frengky Yaru.
The prosecution has sought a 10-year prison sentence for Corporal Feri Herianto, minus time served, and a four-year term for Staff Sergeant Frengky Yaru. Additionally, the prosecution has sought dismissal from the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) for the first and second defendants.
Furthermore, the prosecution has demanded Rp5.8 billion in restitution for the victim’s family. The restitution claim was submitted by the victim’s wife, Puspita Aulia, as the legal heir. In a letter dated 13 May 2026, the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) stated it had conducted investigations, information verification, and damage assessment for the victim and family.
The restitution relates to the alleged premeditated murder and assault resulting in death involving three Indonesian Army defendants.
