Military Court Holds First Hearing for TNI Soldier in Bank Branch Manager Murder Case
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Military Court II-08 in Cakung, East Jakarta, held the first hearing in the case of the alleged kidnapping and murder of a bank branch head with initials MIP (37), involving a TNI soldier, on Monday (6/4/2026). According to the Case Search Information System (SIPP) of the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, the hearing falls under the category of murder cases with case number 52-K/PM.II-08/AD/III/2026.
“Today, the first hearing will be held with the agenda of reading the indictment (by the military prosecutor),” said the Spokesperson for the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Lieutenant Commander (Law) Arin Fauzam, when contacted in Jakarta on Monday.
This first hearing is scheduled to take place in the morning around 09:00 WIB in the Garuda Courtroom or the main courtroom. Arin also urged media colleagues to monitor and follow the proceedings.
In the hearing, the Military Prosecutor, acting as the public prosecutor in the military court, will present all three defendants directly at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta. Arin also guaranteed that the trial process will be conducted professionally, independently, impartially, transparently, and accountably.
“The plan is for 09:00 WIB in the morning, please inform other fellow journalists, thank you,” said Arin.
This case has attracted public attention because it involves TNI personnel in an alleged serious criminal act of kidnapping and murder of a bank branch leader. The defendants, namely Sergeant MN (defendant 1), Second Corporal FN (defendant 2), and Sergeant FY (defendant 3), are charged with involvement in a series of kidnappings accompanied by the murder of MIP.
