The Military Court II-08 has appointed three judges to hear the case of the acid attack on Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS), on Wednesday (29 April 2026). The judges assigned to the acid attack case are Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto, Lieutenant Colonel Kum Irwan Tasri, and Major Laut (H) M. Zainal Abidin. “Based on the determination of the Panel of Judges from the Head of the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, using the Smart Majelis Application,” said the Spokesperson for the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Major Chk Endah Wulandari, via a short message on Monday (20 April 2026). The defendants in this case are four TNI BAIS personnel, namely Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetia (NDP), Lieutenant Sami Lakka (SL), Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi (BHW), and Sergeant Edi Sudarko (ES). The Head of the Military Prosecutor’s Office II-07 Jakarta, Colonel Chk Andri Wijaya, revealed the motive behind the acid attack on Andrie Yunus. “Regarding the motive, up to now what we have explored through the examination report is that the motive carried out by the defendants is still personal revenge against Brother A (the victim),” said Andri at the Military Court II-08. Meanwhile, the personal revenge motive will be explained in more detail by the military prosecutor during the reading of the indictment. The incident began after Andrie finished recording a podcast at the YLBHI office in Menteng. As a result of the attack, Andrie screamed in pain and fell off his motorbike. Nearby residents then provided assistance, while the perpetrators fled towards Jalan Salemba Raya. In an injured condition, Andrie briefly returned to his residence before being taken to RSCM for medical treatment in the early hours of Friday (13 March 2026). Based on the examination by the medical team, Andrie Yunus suffered injuries to his right eye and burns covering about 20 percent of his body due to the acid splashing. Following the incident, four TNI Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) personnel were secured in connection with suspected involvement in the event. All four were subsequently designated as suspects on 18 March 2026 in the suspected acid attack case against Andrie Yunus. The suspects are charged under Article 467 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated assault, with a minimum prison sentence of four years and a maximum of seven years.
