Military Commander Ensures Safe and Smooth Mudik Travel for Eid 2026

Jakarta – TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto has stressed that the TNI (Indonesian Armed Forces) and Polri (National Police) must consistently be present for the public, providing security during the mudik and balik flow for Eid 2026.

This was conveyed by Agus whilst attending the Operasi Ketupat 2026 troop roll-call ceremony in the National Monument area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (12/3/2026).

“The TNI and Polri must constantly be present for the people, providing a sense of security, ensuring smooth travel, and guaranteeing the safety of mudik travellers from various potential security disruptions and traffic accidents,” said Agus in his remarks on Thursday.

He stated that Operasi Ketupat is a national agenda that must be supported by thorough preparedness through cross-ministerial synergy and institutional coordination, as well as solid coordination among all involved parties.

The presence of the TNI, Polri, and various relevant ministries and agencies in the operation, continued Agus, is a concrete manifestation of devotion to the state to serve and protect society.

Agus also reminded every personnel involved in Operasi Ketupat 2026 to understand their duties and responsibilities properly and to maintain professionalism whilst on duty.

He emphasised the importance of providing the best service to the public so that the implementation of mudik for Eid can proceed safely and smoothly.

“With synergy, collaboration, and good coordination, Operasi Ketupat in 2026 can be carried out optimally,” he said.

The troop roll-call ceremony was also attended by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Both Agus and Sigit each delivered remarks at the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by 3,363 combined personnel.
