Wiranto's statement that the real struggle is outside the
Golkar Party convention rather than inside the organization, has
come into reality with his victory as Golkar's presidential
nominee.

However, the public should be alert because military figures
are striving to become candidates for top executive positions.
Wiranto is a former aide of ex-president Soeharto so that he once
enjoyed various New Order benefits.

In this way, if Wiranto emerges as president, he will not have
the courage to unveil corruption cases involving Soeharto and his
cronies because he was a former subordinate officer.

Therefore, I would like to appeal that all fellow citizens who
are still obsessed by the elimination of corruption should take
care to avoid mistakes in electing our next president.
