Military Auditors Plan to Visit Andrie Yunus at RSCM
JAKARTA - The Military Audit Office II-07 Jakarta plans to visit KontraS activist Andrie Yunus, who is still undergoing treatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) after becoming the victim of an acid attack allegedly carried out by TNI BAIS members.
In the case, four TNI BAIS members are charged with involvement: Sergeant Two Edi Sudarko, First Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetya, and First Lieutenant Sami Lakka.
The Head of the Military Audit Office II-07 Jakarta, Colonel Chk Andri Wijaya, stated that the visit is scheduled for Tuesday (12/5/2026), provided permission is obtained from the hospital.
However, Andri could not confirm whether the panel of judges or the defendants’ legal representatives would also join the visit to Andrie.
“I don’t know about the judges and their lawyers; the time is in the morning if there are no changes,” he said.
Previously, the four TNI personnel were charged with throwing acid at KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus in the Central Jakarta area.
The motive was said to be related to Andrie’s interruption during an event at the Fairmont Jakarta Hotel on 16 March 2025.
“The defendants considered that Mr Andrie Yunus had insulted the TNI institution and even trampled on the TNI institution,” said Iswadi during the trial at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Advocacy Team for Democracy (TAUD) has sent a letter of rejection so that Andrie Yunus is not examined as a victim witness in the trial at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta.
This was conveyed by Andrie’s legal representative when visiting the Military Court and submitting the rejection letter.
Jane explained that the decision was made because Andrie’s medical condition still does not allow him to attend the trial.
“The request comes from Andrie Yunus himself and is mainly related to Andrie Yunus’s medical condition. Last week, Andrie Yunus underwent another operation,” she said.
“The operation was on the right side of the face, neck, and several other parts, including the victim’s lip which then had to be stitched at RSCM,” she added.
