Milad stage becomes space for students to showcase creativity
The stage commemorating the 41st anniversary (Milad) of Yayasan Waqaf Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai (YWAMJP) became a space for students to showcase their creativity.
“This year, the series of events for the 41st Milad of Yayasan Waqaf Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai is centred at the Al Azhar Grand Wisata campus in Bekasi, involving the extended Al-Muhajirien family and showcasing the creativity and talents of students from SMP Islam Al Azhar 44 and SMA Islam Al Azhar 18 Grand Wisata,” said H. M. Syaifudin, Chairman of Yayasan Waqaf Al-Muhajirien Jakapermai, in Bekasi on Sunday.
The stage was filled by a number of students from SMP Islam Al Azhar 44 and SMA Islam Al Azhar 18 Grand Wisata who displayed their abilities and creativity outside classroom learning activities.
As part of the event series, the students performed in a live performance. Their performances took place on the same stage as D’Masiv, which was sponsored by BSI and performed around 10 songs as the main act.
For the students, involvement in the activity provided an experience of performing in front of approximately 2,700 participants, as well as being part of a major event organised by the foundation that oversees their schools.
“Student involvement in the 41st Milad celebration did not stop at artistic performances. Previously, the series of activities at the Al Azhar Grand Wisata campus was filled with Morning Fest 41, which among other things featured 3x3 Basketball and a Cooking Class,” explained Syaifudin.
According to Syaifudin, the activities brought together students and families in a number of activities that allowed them to be directly involved in the celebration series.
Furthermore, for the educational environment, such activities provide space for students to develop abilities that are not solely related to academics.
“Creativity, the courage to perform, and the ability to collaborate are part of what is developed through experiences outside the classroom,” said Syaifudin.
The presence of students from SMP Islam Al Azhar 44 and SMA Islam Al Azhar 18 Grand Wisata in the Milad series illustrates that educational activities within YWAMJP also pay attention to developing the potential of learners.
YWAMJP is a foundation that manages 10 Al Azhar Islamic Schools in Bekasi, one Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, and one Madrasah Tsanawiyah.
The educational institutions are located in three areas: Jakapermai, Kemang Pratama, and Grand Wisata.
The foundation, established on 9 August 1985, has been carrying out activities in the field of Islamic education for 41 years. Throughout its journey, educational development has been directed not only at academic aspects but also at character building, creativity, collaboration skills, and students’ readiness to face the future.
From an educational perspective, the Milad stage is one form of learning experience outside the classroom.
Students faced situations different from school routines, from preparing performances to appearing before a large audience.
Such experiences can be part of the process of building self-confidence and teamwork skills.
This is in line with YWAMJP’s educational direction, which combines Islamic values, character development, innovation, and quality learning.
The 41st Milad of YWAMJP itself was filled with various activities. In addition to agendas involving students, there were also social and sporting activities such as cataract operations, blood donation, mass circumcision, padel, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and a tumpeng competition.
With this series of events, the Milad commemoration was not merely an internal foundation event but also brought together various elements within the educational environment and the community.
The theme of this year’s Milad was “Kokoh dalam Amanah, Maju dalam Inovasi, Unggul dalam Pelayanan” (Steadfast in Trust, Advancing in Innovation, Excellent in Service). This spirit serves as the direction the foundation upholds in continuing the development of education and service to the community.
