PT Mifa Bersaudara has inaugurated an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at its mining operational area in West Aceh as part of efforts to strengthen its commitment to more environmentally friendly mining operations. The inauguration of the charging facility took place on Thursday (30/7). The charging station will be used to support the operations of the electric vehicle fleet used in coal transportation, while reducing dependence on fossil fuels. PT Mifa Bersaudara President Director Ricky Nelson stated that the construction of the charging station is part of the company’s transformation towards more efficient, reliable, and sustainable operations. “The Charging Station that begins operating today is the first step towards an increasingly modern operational ecosystem,” Ricky told Media Indonesia on Monday (3/8). According to Ricky, the utilisation of electric vehicles and their supporting infrastructure is part of the company’s long-term vision in adopting clean energy technology while increasing added value for mining operations. He also expressed appreciation for the support of PT Antaredja Mahada Makmur (AMM) as the main working partner and PT SATYA, which built the charging station facility. Ricky hopes the facility will not only function as a means of operational support but also become a symbol of the company’s transformation in driving innovation, increasing efficiency, and strengthening the culture of occupational safety in the mining environment. “Let us make this opportunity a start to continue encouraging the use of cleaner, more efficient, and more sustainable technology so that PT Mifa Bersaudara becomes more competitive while being environmentally responsible,” he said. Through the construction of this charging station, PT Mifa Bersaudara reaffirms its commitment to supporting the energy transition in the mining sector by integrating low-emission technology into the company’s operational activities.
