Police found a car that had broken down in the Tenjo sub-district, Bogor, West Java, during a routine patrol. Inside the vehicle there was a family, including an elderly mother and a young child, said Tenjo Police Sector chief IPTU Hendrik Hartono on Saturday (8 March 2026). The incident occurred at about 01:30 local time. The police then provided assistance by escorting them home.

“To ensure their safety, the elderly mother and her family were escorted home by the sector chief and officers,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hartono added that the damaged vehicle was taken to Tenjo Police Station for repairs, with arrangements to call a workshop.

The vehicle’s owner later expressed gratitude. The patrol is routinely conducted to maintain security and order and ensure a safe situation.

“This activity is a tangible manifestation of the presence of the Police in the community, especially in providing service, protection, and a sense of security for residents,” he concluded.
