Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani has revealed that the geopolitical turmoil in the Middle East has not diminished investment interest in Indonesia. According to him, well-maintained communication through political diplomacy between countries, conducted by the government, can preserve the stability of the investment climate.

“I have just returned from visits to Japan and South Korea, accompanying the President. I also met with China; I returned from China just two days ago. From my observations and discussions with Japan, South Korea, and China—our three largest investors—they have not reduced their interest in investing,” he stated during a meeting with Commission XII at the DPR RI building in Jakarta on Monday (13/4/2026).

Rosan further explained that President Prabowo Subianto always makes time to meet with business leaders during every state visit. This helps to provide assurance to the business world that the government, right from the top level, fully understands the current conditions, both geopolitical and economic.

“The President has a deep understanding and mastery of the geopolitical situation as well as the economy in Indonesia, and the steps we have already taken,” he said.

Rosan emphasised that the government has anticipated measures to ensure the investment climate continues to develop. This is reflected in his visit to China.

“So, in my view, because our investment climate maintains good stability, our peace is very good, and they see that our government is always enhancing good investment programmes,” he concluded.
