Middle East Conflict: Prabowo States Indonesia on Correct Path, We Do Not Take Sides

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia is currently on the correct course regarding the conflict occurring in the Middle East. Prabowo reminded the country of Indonesia’s stance of active non-alignment, non-bloc positioning, and impartiality towards all sides.

He conveyed this during the inauguration of Bailey Bridge and Armco Bridge in Aceh on Monday, 9 March 2026.

“What happens in one region will affect other regions. Our nation and our country are on the correct path, we are on the path of non-alignment. We always remain on the path of active independence and non-bloc positioning,” he stated.

Prabowo conveyed that Indonesia does not wish to align with any bloc.

“We do not want to join any bloc, we respect all powers, we respect all nations. That is Indonesia. Unity in Diversity within our country, and we also respect all nations abroad,” he added.
