Middle East Conflict Impact: Several Airlines Cancel International Flights from Indonesia
BADUNG – Passenger assistance staff provided information to prospective air travellers at the helpdesk in the International Terminal of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport on Sunday, 1 March 2026.
By Sunday afternoon, 1 March 2026, five international flights at Bali Airport had been cancelled and delayed due to airspace closures across several Middle Eastern countries resulting from the US-Israel-Iran conflict.
International flight cancellations also occurred at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten on Sunday, 1 March 2026. Several airlines operating routes to the Middle East cancelled a number of their flights.
The disruptions reflected a broader pattern affecting Indonesian aviation, with multiple carriers suspending services to Middle Eastern destinations amid heightened regional tensions and corresponding restrictions on air traffic across affected nations.
