Middle East Conflict Creates Crisis; Qodari: Indonesia Safe, Prabowo Highly Visionary

Jakarta — The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Qodari, has stated that amid the crisis resulting from the outbreak of war between Iran and the US-Israel alliance, Indonesia remains in a secure position.

Qodari also praised President Prabowo Subianto, describing him as a highly visionary figure.

“In the midst of the crisis today, we can say we are safe. President Prabowo is a very visionary figure who is able to anticipate problems that will occur in the future,” Qodari said during a press conference on mudik (holiday travel) preparations at the Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

According to Qodari, the various programmes implemented by Prabowo related to strengthening food security have fundamentally been designed as anticipatory measures to address potential crises, whether natural disasters or global crises.

Qodari emphasised that the government is not waiting for crises to occur, but has already laid the foundation beforehand before any global upheaval takes place.

“So, from the beginning, President Prabowo has strongly emphasised the importance of food self-sufficiency. And today we are all witnesses to history, testament to how important the preparations made one and a half years ago when President Prabowo took office truly are,” Qodari added.
