mGanik Clinches Top Innovation Choice Award, Reinforces Commitment to Diabetes Care Ecosystem

mGanik has officially been awarded the Top Innovation Choice Award 2026, organised by INFOBRAND.ID, for its innovation in building a Holistic & Integrated Diabetes Management Ecosystem through the 3 Pillar Method: Medication, Nutrition, and Monitoring. The award was given to mGanik for its success in integrating nutritional services, specialist diabetes clinics, and a support community within a single ecosystem that supports sustainable diabetes management. Indonesia currently faces significant challenges in diabetes management. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Atlas 2025, approximately 90 per cent of people with diabetes in Indonesia suffer from Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), a metabolic disease closely linked to daily lifestyle and dietary patterns. On the other hand, diabetes management in Indonesia still faces various challenges, ranging from fragmented services and a lack of sustainable nutritional support to low long-term management success rates. Departing from these conditions, Dr Kelvin Candiago developed an integrated diabetes management ecosystem through mGanik, which combines medication, nutrition, and monitoring in the 3R Method: Rescue, Reverse, and Remission. ‘mGanik focuses on the ecosystem. mGanik Nutrition as food as medicine, the mGanik Care clinic with a medical approach, and there is a community of diabetics within mGanik itself. So with these three things, with the 3R approach — Rescue, Reverse, and Remission, we can help patients move towards diabetes remission,’ said Dr Kelvin Candiago. mGanik’s journey began in 2020 with mGanik Nutrition, developed using a food-as-medicine approach. By the first quarter of 2026, mGanik Nutrition had reached more than 1 million consumers in Indonesia, with around 5,000 active customers each month. As the need for more comprehensive medical support grew, mGanik subsequently launched mGanik Care in 2023 as a specialist diabetes clinic focused on improving metabolic conditions and achieving diabetes remission. Starting from homecare services, mGanik Care now operates in Green Lake and Bintaro and continues to expand throughout 2026. By the first quarter of 2026, more than 1,500 people with diabetes had received support through mGanik Care. Of that number, 15–20 patients per month successfully reached the Reverse stage, and around 7–10 per cent met the clinical criteria for diabetes remission. As part of long-term support, mGanik also established the Diabetes Revolution Community, which now has nearly 2,000 active members. This community serves as a space for sharing, education, and support among fellow diabetics in making sustainable lifestyle changes. All these services are integrated within mGanik’s 3 Pillar Method, namely Medication, Nutrition, and Monitoring, which is implemented through the 3R approach: Rescue, the initial stage of patient diagnosis followed by measured medical intervention through mGanik Care; Reverse, the stage of improving metabolic health and insulin sensitivity with natural-based nutritional guidance through mGanik Nutrition; and Remission, the stage where the results and lifestyle formed are maintained and continued by the patient indefinitely. ‘With an integrated ecosystem, from medication, nutrition, to monitoring, we believe that diabetes remission is not impossible,’ said Dr Kelvin Candiago during a talk on the BRAND TALKS programme. According to Dr Kelvin Candiago, this award validates the approach that mGanik has been developing to help people with diabetes receive more comprehensive support. ‘This is a validation for us — that what we are doing is on the right track. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen the 3R ecosystem: developing mGanik Nutrition products with the latest formulations, expanding mGanik Care branches to be closer to the community, and growing the community so that fellow diabetes sufferers do not feel alone in this struggle,’ said Kelvin Candiago.
