MG Slashes MGS5 EV Magnify Max Price to Rp399.9 Million, Here Are the Terms

PT MG Motor Indonesia has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the domestic launch of the MGS5 EV Magnify Max. This latest variant features a larger battery capacity and a more competitive price point to strengthen its position in the electric SUV segment.

Sales Director of MG Motor Indonesia, Agustian Ferikars, stated during a mid-year media gathering that the MGS5 EV is designed to provide comfort for both the driver and passengers. Since its introduction at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026, the company has continued regional launches in cities including Bandung, Surabaya, Denpasar, Medan, Batam, Pontianak, and Makassar as part of a strategy to reach a broader market.

As of June, the company has received over 2,000 vehicle orders and delivered more than 1,000 units to customers. This performance has significantly boosted MG’s position in the national automotive market, with the company recording a 114% year-on-year sales increase.

Responding to consumer demand for longer-range electric vehicles, MG introduced the Magnify Max variant equipped with a 64 kWh battery. The vehicle is claimed to achieve a range of up to 540 kilometres based on NEDC testing, with a power output of 204 PS and 250 Nm of instant torque.

The MGS5 EV Magnify Max was initially introduced at a price of Rp455.9 million for the Jabodetabek area. The company has now reduced the official price to Rp419.9 million and is offering a special promotional price of Rp399.9 million for purchases made through September 2026.
