MG Secures 708 Vehicle Orders at IIMS 2026, MG S5 Is the Best-Seller
Morris Garages (MG) Motor Indonesia has secured a total of 708 Vehicle Purchase Orders (VPOs) during the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026, which took place in Jakarta from 5 to 15 February. A total of 579 VPOs, or around 80 percent of the total orders received by MG during the exhibition, were for MG’s latest electric SUV, the MG S5 EV. ‘MG’s positive achievement at IIMS 2026 is a good start for 2026,’ said MG Motor Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Jason Huang, as quoted in the company’s press release in Jakarta on Friday. ‘We greatly appreciate the enthusiasm of every visitor to MG’s booth for our innovative EV lineup, especially MG S5 EV as our latest mobility solution for Indonesian families,’ he added. The launch of the MG S5 EV was also named the Favorite Indonesian Premiere Launch during IIMS 2026. The company stated that the award provides validation of the MG S5 EV’s innovation and competitive value, while reaffirming its position as the most sought-after electric SUV at the fair. The MG S5 EV is designed to meet the needs of families. This electric SUV combines a modern design, spacious cabin, comprehensive safety features, and a comfortable driving experience. In addition to the MG S5 EV, MG offers other electric models including the MG4 EV (hatchback), the MG ZS EV (SUV), and the electric roadster MG Cyberster. These vehicles contributed to MG’s total VPOs at IIMS 2026. MG is currently marketing the MG S5 EV at Rp333.9 million on the road in Jakarta for the Ignite variant and Rp355.9 million on the road for the Magnify variant. Each customer purchasing the MG S5 EV can receive comprehensive aftersales support, including a six-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, an eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, a portable charger, window tint, three years of i-SMART data, and four years of free servicing.
