Mexico firework warehouse explosion kills 10, injures 81

Moscow (ANTARA) - The death toll from an explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Mexico has risen to 10, with another 81 people injured, as reported by the newspaper Excelsior.

The explosion occurred on 5 September in the Temascalcingo area of the State of Mexico during celebrations honouring the local church’s patron saint, Santa Maria Canchesda.

Earlier reports stated that nine people had died and 24 were injured.

The warehouse explosion took place at the end of a series of religious services. Reports on Sunday indicated that among the dead were five women, three men, and two teenagers.
