Mexican president to visit RI

JAKARTA: Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada is planning to
visit Indonesia in October next year, before attending the Asia
Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Bangkok, Thailand.

The statement was made after Quesada received the credentials
of Indonesia's new ambassador to Mexico Ahwil Luthan last week,
the Indonesian embassy in Mexico said in a statement Tuesday.

The Mexican president hoped that both countries could expand
trade and diplomatic ties during the meeting next year.

The Mexican president also expressed hope that Mexico would
import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Indonesia. Currently,
Mexico imports LNG from South American.

During the function, the Mexican president extended his
support to Indonesia for its fight against terrorism. --Antara
