Meugang Tradition Amid Disaster Recovery in North Aceh

Aceh — Residents of Krueng Lingka held the Meugang tradition ahead of Ramadan. Beulangong broth was distributed to residents affected by the disaster.

The Meugang tradition, a centuries-old Acehnese custom of communal meat preparation and sharing before the fasting month, was observed in the Krueng Lingka community despite ongoing recovery from natural disaster in North Aceh. Beulangong, a traditional Acehnese curry prepared in large communal pots, was shared among disaster-affected residents as part of the celebrations.
