PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (IDX: MTDL) has once again held Metrodata Solution Day (MSD) 2026 for the 21st time, with the theme Winning with AI: Build, Run, and Scale for Measurable Impact.

The forum underscored the company’s shift in focus from mere technology adoption towards the creation of real and measurable business and operational value.

According to the IDC Info Snapshot From AI Spending to AI Value Creation, compiled together with Metrodata, 56.7% of organisations in Indonesia plan to increase their GenAI budgets by more than 50%.

This figure is nearly double the Asia/Pacific average of 29.8%.

However, the AI maturity level of organisations in Indonesia has only reached 2.03 on a scale of 5, still below the Asia/Pacific and global averages.

The gap between high investment and low implementation maturity presents both a challenge and an opportunity for companies to turn AI into measurable business impact.

Metrodata President Director Susanto Djaja said the measure of AI success is no longer how quickly the technology is adopted, but rather how much value it generates.

“What matters now is the value generated, not how quickly the technology is used. Organisations need discipline, governance, and accountability in every AI investment,” Susanto said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday (20/8).

Through the Build, Run, and Scale concept, Metrodata is encouraging companies to build AI foundations through data readiness, architecture, and business use cases; run implementation with proper governance, security, and measurement; and expand its utilisation to improve productivity and accelerate decision-making.

MSD 2026 brought together more than 30 global technology partners through keynotes, executive discussions, and track sessions covering AI, cloud, cybersecurity, data analytics, modern infrastructure, and enterprise applications.

A number of partners emphasised the importance of integrating AI into business operations, rather than merely running pilot projects.

Microsoft highlighted the need to build the right foundations so that AI investments deliver measurable impact, while Google Cloud encouraged the integration of AI agents into day-to-day operations.

Cloudera stressed the importance of data governance, while Anaplan highlighted the use of AI in planning processes to produce faster and more measurable business decisions.

Red Hat assessed that an open, flexible, and secure hybrid cloud foundation is key to expanding AI implementation without dependence on a single vendor.

Salesforce added that AI success requires the integration of data, workflows, governance, and guardrails so that AI agents can deliver reliable work processes.

Meanwhile, Palo Alto Networks reminded that the acceleration of AI also increases cyber threats, so defences must be able to work in real-time with a unified security approach.

Through MSD 2026, Metrodata is strengthening collaboration with the global technology ecosystem to help Indonesian companies move from merely experimenting with AI towards implementation that is capable of generating real, measurable, and sustainable business value.
