A social service activity led by the Head of Polairud of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Commissioner Mustofa, was held in Cilincing, North Jakarta, on Thursday (7/5). Commissioner Mustofa and his entourage then met Kirman, a resident who has been paralysed due to a stroke for 2.5 years. Mustofa stated that the wheelchair assistance is a form of the Indonesian National Police’s concern for coastal communities. He emphasised that the police are present not only to maintain security but also to help residents in need. “We provide this assistance as a manifestation of our concern for the community. May this wheelchair help Mr Kirman in his daily activities and bring benefits to the recipient,” said Commissioner Mustofa. He stressed that Polairud’s duties extend beyond securing water areas. More than that, he said, Polairud is also present to provide services and care to coastal communities. “We want the Indonesian National Police to truly be present among the people. Not only maintaining security, but also helping and providing direct benefits to the residents,” he stated. Meanwhile, Kirman and his family expressed their thanks for the Indonesian National Police’s concern for the community. He hopes that the police will be increasingly loved by the public.
