Metro Police Release Fish Seedlings in Bekasi to Support Food Security Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Metro Jaya Regional Police conducted the release of fish seedlings in Tambak Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency, on Saturday to follow up on President Prabowo Subianto’s programme in maintaining food security. The Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police, Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono, stated that this fish seed release activity is the second phase, where the first phase for the supply chain of raw materials for the Nutritional Fulfilment Service Unit (SPBG) has already been harvested. “We are now entering the second phase of seed release, where we are releasing 21,000 Nila Mujair fish and 16,000 Bandeng fish,” said Dekananto Eko Purwono. In addition, according to Dekananto, at the location, Metro Jaya Police also planted 8,000 watermelon seedlings, 100 mango trees, and harvested 1,000 chicken eggs (units) which will be distributed to SPBG, as well as to help the surrounding community in terms of food security. Previously, Dekananto had also inspected the SPBG Palmerah Greenhouse, where the greenhouse contains biofloc and the planting of seedbeds for several commodities to support SPBG. “And the food security programme, including Pakcoy vegetables at 180 kg, then Mustard greens at 120 kg, Lettuce at 120 kg, and also some fish including Nila, Catfish, and Patin,” said Dekananto. Dekananto added that Metro Jaya Police, under the direction of National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, will ensure support for President Prabowo Subianto’s programme in food security and food self-sufficiency. Meanwhile, Zaeni Siddiq, as a farmer and landowner, has collaborated with Metro Jaya Police to support President Prabowo Subianto’s programme in food security and food self-sufficiency. “This programme is very helpful for the surrounding community, such as absorbing labour, as well as the harvest contributions that have been given to the community,” said Dekananto.
