Metro Police: May Day 2026 Implementation in Jakarta Safe and Orderly

Metro Police is known to have secured 101 people suspected of committing riots during May Day in Jakarta. Evidence including Molotov cocktails, sharp weapons, and documents of attack plans were seized. “And we found documents planning to carry out riots. They had already prepared for you all here, clearly depicted, you can also see on the screen, the rundown,” said the Director of Criminal Investigation of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Iman Imanuddin. “It can be clearly seen that they had prepared the event rundown. So by the hour, they had prepared when they would carry out the attack or assault, in the language here,” he added. The secured parties are aged between 20 and 30 years. The police emphasised that the 101 individuals will be returned after the examination is completed.
