Jakarta - The Metro Jaya Police have inaugurated the office of the Satuan Pengamanan Objek Vital (Vital Object Security Unit) and Babelan Police Station at the Bekasi Metro Police Vital Object Security Unit office in Sukamahi, Cikarang Pusat, Bekasi Regency.
“This inauguration marks a step towards strengthening police services so that the community can receive faster, closer, and more optimal services,” said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Asep emphasised that the inauguration of the Vital Object Security Unit office and Babelan Police Station is not merely physical construction, but also part of the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to delivering better public services.
“Adequate facilities must be accompanied by a humanistic and professional work spirit,” he said.
He added that the inauguration of this office should strengthen the resolve of all personnel to provide the best service to the community.
“The presence of the police must truly be felt, with services that are fast, responsive, humanistic, and capable of providing a sense of security to residents,” said Asep.
Asep also stated that the Vital Object Security Unit office would support the security of vital objects in the Bekasi Metro Police jurisdiction to operate more optimally.
Meanwhile, Babelan Police Station is expected to further strengthen police presence within the community, accelerate responses to residents’ reports, and maintain a secure and conducive law and order situation.
The inauguration, carried out by the Bekasi Metro Police hierarchy, is part of efforts to strengthen police facilities and infrastructure in Bekasi Regency.
The establishment of the new office is also expected to support the performance of personnel in providing protection, care, and increasingly responsive services to the community.
