Metro Police Establishes 95 Security Posts for 2026 Mudik Operation
The Jakarta Metro Police (Polda Metro Jaya) has established 95 security posts during the Operasi Ketupat Jaya security operation for the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 Gregorian mudik. This was announced by Metro Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri during an inspection of mudik preparations at Pulogebang Terminal in East Jakarta on Saturday, 14 March.
Asep stated that the total of 95 posts encompasses 1,647 security points. He detailed that the 95 posts consist of 68 security posts, 22 service posts, and 5 integrated posts. Additionally, the force has established 9 traffic monitoring posts positioned along the Cikampek toll road.
Security measures have also been prepared at numerous other strategic locations, including 83 economic centres, 4 terminals, 4 stations, 2 airports, and 1 seaport. The police have also arranged security at 471 banking offices and 164 pawnshop offices. The deployment further extends to 621 vital infrastructure sites, including petrol station substations, power distribution substations, and Pertamina depots.
To implement this comprehensive security operation, a total of 6,812 combined personnel have been deployed. The breakdown includes 5,092 police personnel, comprising 2,700 from the metro police headquarters and 2,392 from district police stations. The deployment also includes 416 military personnel on temporary assignment from Kodam Jaya and subordinate military district commands, 1,088 personnel on temporary assignment from local government authorities, and 216 personnel from community volunteers.
All equipment is being provided in accordance with the standards required for security posts, service posts, and integrated posts.
