Ermanto Usman (65) has been killed following a murder at his home in Jatibening, Bekasi City, West Java. The perpetrator has been reported to have been apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Unit team of Metro Police (Polda Metro Jaya).

When contacted for confirmation, Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation at Metro Police AKBP Abdul Rahim verified the arrest. However, he declined to elaborate further.

“Yes. Let’s do that later, investigation is still ongoing,” said Rohim on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

According to information received by detikcom, the arrest was carried out in the North Jakarta area. When asked for further details, AKBP Rohim did not provide additional information regarding the arrest.

It is known that Ermanto Usman (65) was killed by an unknown person at his home in Jatibening, Bekasi City, West Java, on Monday (2 March). Ermanto was a retired employee of Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) who had a long record as a port workers’ activist.

Ermanto died after sustaining multiple injuries. On the same day, Ermanto’s wife, Pasmilawati (60), was also injured and is reported to be in critical condition at hospital.
