Metro Police Confirm 74 kg of Gold and Dollars Seized from Febrie Adriansyah's Home Are Genuine

Jakarta, VIVA – Metro Jaya Police have revealed the results of testing on gold and cash seized during searches in the alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case implicating former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah and Don Ritto.

Head of the Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Division, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said the gold found during the search had been confirmed as genuine.

“Yes, certainly. The point is that the gold is genuine, based on testing by Pegadaian,” Budi told reporters on Friday, 17 July 2026.

Budi went on to explain that the rupiah cash examined was also genuine, while the US dollar notes examined by a team from the United States Secret Service and the FBI were declared genuine, with official documentation.

“Then the US dollars — the United States Secret Service and the FBI have issued a letter stating they are genuine. And the rupiah, according to Bank Indonesia, is also genuine. Now, we are just waiting on a letter regarding the Singapore dollars. But generally speaking, everything is genuine,” he said.

Budi also explained that the police enlisted the United States Secret Service and the FBI because they hold the authority to conduct testing related to the United States dollar.

For context, Metro Jaya Police disclosed the results of searches conducted at the private residence of the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, located in the Sentul area of Bogor Regency, as part of an investigation into alleged corruption and money laundering involving PT PLN (Persero), PT Asabri (Persero) and PT Krakatau Steel.

Commissioner Budi Hermanto said the house in Sentul was one of the locations searched.

“On this occasion, searches were carried out at 12 crime scenes, and the results we can convey are: first, the residence located at Parahyangan Golf number 2, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency,” Budi said at Metro Jaya Police headquarters on Friday, 10 July.

Budi further revealed that the search of the house yielded evidence in the form of 74 kilograms of gold bullion.

He added that the police also seized cash, as well as two framed family photographs.

“US$4,767,300, Singapore $14,083,800, as well as Rp100 million, plus two framed family photographs as evidence,” he explained.
