Metro Police Chief Engages with Sabuk Kamtibmas, Urges Joint Efforts to Safeguard the Environment

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Pol Asep Edi Suheri attended a gathering with Sabuk Kamtibmas on Saturday and urged everyone to jointly safeguard the environment to keep it consistently safe and orderly. “Sabuk Kamtibmas plays an important role in helping to maintain the environment. Their presence is part of our collective concern to create a safe and orderly atmosphere,” Asep stated in Jakarta on Saturday. He noted that Sabuk Kamtibmas comprises community partners who care about environmental security. Therefore, their presence is believed to help maintain community security and order (kamtibmas) in a safe, orderly, and conducive manner. Asep also said that the spirit of Jaga Jakarta is not solely a police duty but requires collective concern. To that end, he invited Sabuk Kamtibmas to continue maintaining good communication with the police and to contribute to creating an orderly and peaceful atmosphere. “Safeguarding Jakarta must be done together. The police cannot work alone without community support. Therefore, gatherings like this are important to strengthen collaboration and mutual care,” Asep remarked. “Thank you to Sabuk Kamtibmas for their ongoing presence in safeguarding the environment. Let us nurture this togetherness and jointly keep Jakarta safe, orderly, and conducive,” Asep added. The event was held as an effort to strengthen communication and togetherness between Metro Jaya Police and Sabuk Kamtibmas. Sabuk Kamtibmas is a strategic synergy programme between the Indonesian National Police and various community elements to voluntarily maintain security and order.
