Jakarta (ANTARA) - Metro Jaya Regional Police has confirmed that admissions for Police Academy (Akpol) cadets for the 2026 fiscal year will only occur through a single channel, namely the regular route, without any special quotas or favouritism.

This was stated by the Head of the Human Resources Bureau (Karo) of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. Muh. Dwita Kumu Wardana, during the first stage of health examinations (rikkes).

“Admissions for Akpol cadets will only be through the regular channel. There are no special quotas, no favouritism, and no room for any party attempting to exploit the selection process,” he said in his statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He also added that participants’ success is purely determined by objective selection results. To ensure the integrity of the selection process, the committee implements multi-layered supervision, from face matching and participant attendance to participant coding to prevent potential fraud.

Additionally, supervision involves elements from Paminal, Itwasda, Provos, as well as external supervisors and IDI to ensure the entire process runs cleanly and accountably.

Dwita also advised the public not to easily believe parties offering graduation services or demanding fees with promises of helping participants pass the selection.

“If you encounter such practices, the public is asked to immediately report them through the 110 Call Centre, Dumas Presisi, or the Propam complaint channel,” he said.

He also urged participants to focus on preparing themselves maximally, both physically, mentally, and academically.

“What determines success is the participants’ own abilities, not promises or favouritism from any party,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dwita mentioned that the selection for Akpol cadets for the 2026 fiscal year at Metro Jaya Regional Police has entered the first stage of health examinations (rikkes).

This activity is being held at the Metro Jaya Regional Police Health Centre (Biddokkes), Jakarta, from 7 to 11 April 2026, with 300 participants undergoing examinations on the first day.

“This health examination aims to assess participants’ overall health condition. It serves as the basis for evaluating whether participants are eligible to proceed to the next selection stages,” said Dwita.

In its implementation, participants undergo several examination items, including height and weight measurements, body fat percentage, blood pressure and pulse checks, dental examinations, eye examinations including visual acuity and colour blindness, as well as physical examinations.

Dwita explained that the implementation of this rikkes is part of Metro Jaya Regional Police’s commitment to conducting the recruitment process with the BETAH principle, namely clean, transparent, accountable, and humane.

“All stages are carried out by the Biddokkes medical team together with the selection committee under strict supervision to ensure they run objectively in accordance with regulations,” he said.
