Metro Police Admit Rogue Officer Involved in Semarang Fake Pills Factory Case

Jakarta – Metro Jaya Police have confirmed indications of involvement by a police member in the case of an illegal Zenith drug factory in Semarang. The police have acknowledged the involvement of a rogue officer, although his role is still under investigation. This information emerged following confirmation sought from the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Senior Commissioner Budi, regarding the alleged involvement of an officer named Bharaka Pradika in the case. In response, the police did not deny the rogue’s involvement. Previously reported, a joint team from the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate of Criminal Investigation and the West Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit dismantled an illegal hard drug production factory of the Zenith Carnophen type in Semarang, Central Java, on Friday, 10 April 2026. The Director of Narcotics Crimes at National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that in this bust, police arrested three suspects. “The joint team successfully secured a production factory for the narcotic drug Zenith Carnophen,” said Eko in his statement on Monday, 13 April 2026. Eko explained that the case was uncovered after police first raided two suspects with initials Bharaka Pradika Mei and L.K. Ngesti at the Grand Asia Hotel in North Jakarta.
