Metro Jaya Regional Police mark Nuzulul Qur'an, strengthen personnel's mental and spiritual wellbeing
To strengthen the spirituality and integrity of personnel during the holy month of Ramadan, the Metro Jaya Regional Police held the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration 1447 H/2026 M. The solemn event was held at the Al Kautsar Mosque, Mapolda Metro Jaya, on Thursday 5 March 2026. The occasion was attended directly by the Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police, Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono, accompanied by senior officials (PJU), Bhayangkari administrators, and thousands of personnel from various units. The Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration featured renowned preacher Ustaz Adi Hidayat. The head of the organising committee and also the Head of Human Resources at Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Dwita Kumu Wardana, explained that the agenda followed Telegram Letter ST/258 of 2026 which instructed all ranks to enliven Ramadan with positive activities. ‘The primary aim is to strengthen spiritual and mental development (Binrohtal). We want the noble values of the Al-Qur’an not merely to be read but truly embedded in the hearts of every personnel when on duty,’ said Kombes Pol Dwita. Kombes Dwita emphasised that spiritual strengthening directly correlates with the professionalism of the Polri. With firm faith, personnel are expected to carry out their duties to protect, nurture, and serve the community with sincere dedication without neglecting integrity. ‘The Nuzulul Qur’an moment is the right time for self-reflection. We want every action by police officers to be anchored in the intention of worship, so service to the community can operate in a more humane and honest way,’ he added. The event was attended by around 2,000 participants. In addition to police personnel and Bhayangkari, the Metro Jaya Police also invited orphans to share in the happiness of this blessed day.
