Metro Jaya Police Review Ancol Service Post to Ensure Personnel Readiness
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Metro Jaya Police Operational Bureau inspected the Ancol Service Post (Posyan) in North Jakarta to ensure personnel readiness and the optimisation of services to the public during the implementation of Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026.
Head of Operations of Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol I Ketut Gede Wijatmika, while conducting the inspection, explained that the check was carried out as a form of commitment to public service.
“Particularly, to ensure that the Ancol Service Post is ready to provide a sense of safety, comfort, and ease for residents who are active or passing through the area,” he said in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
Wijatmika also stressed the importance of personnel readiness in the field, both in terms of security and service aspects.
“The service post is assessed to have a strategic role as a surveillance point, rest area, information centre, and means of quick service to the public during holiday periods and increased public mobility,” he stated.
In addition to checking personnel readiness, Wijatmika also inspected the supporting facilities and infrastructure available at the Ancol Service Post.
“We want to ensure that all personnel on duty at the Ancol Service Post are truly ready to provide the best service to the public. The presence of this service post must be felt directly in terms of benefits, both from the side of security, comfort, and ease of obtaining police assistance,” he said.
According to him, the existence of the service post is an important part of Metro Jaya Police’s efforts to maintain a safe and conducive public security and order situation.
“We also urge the public to remain orderly, comply with instructions from officers in the field, and not hesitate to utilise the service post if assistance is needed. If an emergency occurs or police presence is required, the public can immediately contact the police emergency line 110 or visit the nearest service post,” Wijatmika said.
Metro Jaya Police, together with related agencies, will continue to carry out preventive measures and measured security to create a safe, orderly, and conducive situation.
Through this inspection, Metro Jaya Police reaffirms its commitment to continue being present to provide protection, guidance, and the best service to the public.
“Synergy with related agencies will also continue to be strengthened to support the smooth running of Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026, so that the public can carry out their journeys and activities safely, comfortably, and smoothly,” he revealed.
